Job summary

Bridgewater Bank's 2027 Summer Internship Program invites juniors and seniors in Finance, Economics, or Business to gain hands-on experience in the Credit team in Minnesota. You will learn banking concepts, analyze loan requests, and support lenders in evaluating financial condition of applicants.

Over May 25, 2027 to August 20, 2027, interns collaborate on innovative initiatives, attend departmental meetings, and present projects to peers and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Current juniors/seniors or recent graduates from a 4-year bachelor’s program in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong analytical/reasoning skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Strong presentation acumen.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and analyze loan requests, financial information, appraisals, title insurance, etc.
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and recommendations on loan structure/pricing for lenders.
• Assign risk ratings to support loan requests.
• Prepare credit presentations for credit approvals including cash flow analysis, forecasting, industry trends, and loan histories.
• Develop and maintain accurate records for lending clients and accounts.
