Job summary

Wohlsen Construction in Berwyn, PA is seeking a Construction Project Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in commercial construction management by supporting project teams and coordinating submittals, RFIs, and documentation.

You will participate in site walks, safety inspections, and meetings, with travel to project sites and regional offices as needed, while developing coordination and communication skills essential to project success.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, or construction management systems is a plus.
• Strong written communication, organization, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and RFIs.
• Prepare and distribute project documentation, meeting minutes, correspondence, and project communications.
• Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
• Maintain accurate project files and logs, including permits, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
• Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and day-to-day project management activities.
• Participate in site walks, safety inspections, quality observations, and project team meetings.
• Coordinate with trade partners, design partners, and internal team members under the direction of the project team.
• Travel to project jobsites and regional offices as assigned.
