Job summary

Wohlsen Construction invites applications for a Construction Project Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will support the project team with admin tasks and field coordination while gaining practical experience in commercial construction management.

Responsibilities include handling submittals and RFIs, preparing project docs, assisting with bid packages, and maintaining logs. Travel to jobsites and offices is required, with opportunities to learn from project managers and trade partners.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in construction-related fields.
• Strong written communication, organization, proofreading and follow-through skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and RFIs.
• Prepare and distribute project docs, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
• Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
• Maintain accurate project files and logs (permits, change orders, RFIs, submittals, closeout).
• Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and day-to-day activities.
• Participate in site walks, safety inspections, and team meetings.
• Coordinate with trade/design partners and internal teams.
• Travel to project jobsites and regional offices as assigned.
