Job summary

RESPEC seeks a Student Engineering Intern (Civil, Geotechnical, or Geomatics/Survey) for Summer Internship 2027 in our Anchorage or Fairbanks Office. This hands-on role is within the Transportation Market Sector and will work alongside full-time staff to learn how professional services are delivered to clients.

Interns will be mentored to develop engineering skills, interact with clients and job sites, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on public and private sector projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences or related field.
• Strong interest in civil infrastructure, geotechnical engineering, surveying or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with CAD, GIS, surveying or data-processing software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support RESPEC’s Transportation Market Sector internship activities in Anchorage or Fairbanks.
• Learn engineering skills while mentored by RESPEC staff on public and private sector projects.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and gain exposure to clients and job sites.
