Job summary

RESPEC seeks a Student Civil Engineer Intern in their Anchorage, AK office for the 2026 Summer Internship Program. The intern will work with full-time staff to learn professional services delivery and gain exposure to clients, job sites, and Alaskan communities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Solid time management skills and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in an efficient manner.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Interest in designing various kinds of civil engineering features (roads, underground utilities, site grading, paving, storm drainage).
• Good working knowledge of fundamental civil engineering concepts.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with reading, analyzing, and interpreting plan sets.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Team player who strives to provide quality work.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel).
• Some proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
