Job summary

RESPEC seeks a Student Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Intern for our Summer Internship 2027 program in our Anchorage, AK or Juneau, AK offices. This is a temporary part-time position and involves working with senior staff on mechanical calculations, design, and construction administration tasks.

You will collaborate with mentors to develop engineering skills in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Prior experience in design or construction preferred.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with mentors.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical or electrical design tasks and calculations under supervision.
• Create drawings for electrical designs and support drafting efforts.
• Assist in construction administration activities and field observations when needed.
