Job summary

IMEG, an employee-owned firm, invites Civil Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in Melbourne, FL. You’ll work with engineers on analysis, design, field inspections, and report preparation while staying within project budgets.

Over 10-12 weeks, you’ll support cross-functional teams, gain hands-on project experience, and contribute to education, corporate, and commercial markets under a structured mentor-led program.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
