Job summary

IMEG Corp in Ontario, CA invites a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. The 10–12 week program is in-office with 100% employee ownership, offering hands-on project work under experienced engineers.

You will support design, field inspections, reports, and permit applications while learning the civil engineering trade. Strong communication and CAD/BIM skills are desired, with 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering; equivalent accepted.
• Preferred: prior internship experience in building design consulting.
• May assist with surveying and materials testing in field duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of civil projects per IMEG standards.
• Research resources for commercially available equipment.
• Assist with client relations, project notebooks, and records.
• Coordinate design and schedule with multidisciplinary teams.
• Document design decisions and client instructions; monitor progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final check.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic site observations and other contract services.
