Job summary

IMEG invites Civil Engineering interns to join our Rock Island, IL team for a 10-12 week summer program. You’ll gain hands-on experience in civil design, field inspections, and project documentation while supporting municipal and transportation projects within the Quad Cities region.

This paid internship offers mentorship, exposure across disciplines, and potential pathway to full-time roles. Sponsorship is not available; 100% Employee-Owned IMEG culture drives a collaborative learning

Qualifications

Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
Prior internship experience in building design/consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with civil design work in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
Research commercially available equipment and resources.
Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
Coordinate design and scheduling with other disciplines and suppliers.
Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project progress.
Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
