Job summary

IMEG seeks a Civil Engineering Intern in Bettendorf, IA for a 10-12 week summer program. You will assist with civil design, site drainage and grading, and field observations, learning from experienced engineers and consultants while contributing to project documentation and client communications.

This internship is a paid opportunity with a mentor system and potential pathways to full-time roles. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil design work in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment and resources.
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design and scheduling with other disciplines and suppliers.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
