Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to support our Civil team in surface transportation projects. The role may involve both design and construction activities, offering hands-on experience in municipal street reconstruction, bridge inspection, and related engineering tasks on real-world projects.

You will work under supervision on plans, grading, erosion and traffic control, with opportunities to learn Autodesk Civil 3D and other design tools.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong interest in surface transportation projects and civil design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and analyze engineering systems.
• Under supervision, plan preparations including grading, erosion control, traffic control, pavement marking, street lighting, and underground utility design.
• Develop plans and specifications complying with state/municipal requirements.
• Demonstrate creativity and ownership of design.
• Perform construction observation on assigned projects.
• Maintain records and documentation for construction administration per municipality requirements.
• Work in office and field settings.
