Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer for our Substation department to support Renewables/Utility/Power projects. The engineer will plan, schedule, and coordinate design work, making recommendations for foundation and structural design while performing calculations and using modeling software.

The role requires ABET accredited engineering training, PE or ability to obtain within 6 months, and about 4 years of experience. Travel up to 15% and US work authorization are expected.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited civil/structural engineering degree required.
• PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical utility substation layout and design preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation and structural modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques to complete tasks.
• Develop plans, specs and observation reports for projects.
• Coordinate design aspects across disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Prepare reports and correspondence on project direction.
• May participate in marketing, sales and business development activities.
