Job summary

Butterball, America’s favorite turkey brand, invites you to join a 10–12 week Continuous Improvement Internship at the Huntsville, AR plant. You will work with plant teams to analyze operations data, perform root-cause analysis, and help implement data-driven process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in a food production environment, learn standard work, visual management, and project presentation to leadership, while developing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics or related field with expected graduation 2027–2029.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction.
• Assist with root cause analysis using tools like 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams.
• Support daily management systems, Tier meetings, visual performance boards, action tracking, and improvement validation.
• Assist with process documentation, standard work updates, visual controls, and operating procedure development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain process improvements.
• Present findings, recommendations, and project results to plant leadership and stakeholders.
