Job summary

Butterball, LLC invites motivated students for a 10–12 week Summer Food Safety & Quality Assurance Intern program at our Huntsville, AR processing plant. The intern will support FSQA and Operations, helping ensure product safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

You will collect data, analyze quality metrics, and collaborate with laboratory staff to understand sampling and analysis. A strong Excel skill set and a willingness to lift up to 50–75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Master in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, biological sciences or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2027 through June 2029.
• Demonstrating knowledge and skill with Excel formulas to extract, organize, and report data.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
• Strong interpersonal and relational skills.
• Campus or community leadership involvement preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Validate antimicrobial intervention efficacy with FSQA and Operations.
• Collect data, track quality metrics, and communicate results.
• Ensure sample collection in collaboration with FSQA and Operations teams.
• Work with Laboratory staff to understand sampling and analysis processes.
• Record/report data and support GMP-compliant manufacturing.
