Job summary

Milliken & Company is seeking a Summer Intern/Co-op at the Allen Plant Chemical Facility to apply chemical engineering knowledge in a manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to apply engineering and safety principles on projects that reduce waste, increase efficiencies, and streamline processes with LEAN.

Projects will be guided by experienced managers to deliver measurable improvements. Housing allowance or mileage reimbursement is provided based on distance from residence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student with Chemical Engineering major and sophomore year completed.
• GPA 3.0 requirement.
• Available for full-time hire late May through early August.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned project by end of each work session.
• Seek quality improvements as it relates to project.
• Seek cost reductions as it fits scope of project.
• Actively participate in plant program/process.
