Job summary

Milliken & Company is seeking a Summer Intern - Manufacturing at Cushman Plant to work on a significant process improvement project in a manufacturing environment. The role reports to a Senior Process Engineer or Process Improvement Manager and runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, starting mid-May and ending early August.

The position offers hourly pay and requires rising juniors or seniors pursuing a BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Textile engineering, with strong PowerPoint

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing BS degree
• Working towards a BS degree
• Able to participate in the Summer Challenge Forum during the first week of June in Spartanburg, SC
• Able to participate in our final presentation review – date TBD

Responsibilities

• Manage a manufacturing related project for results
• Demonstrate creative thinking by identifying unique approaches to problem solving
• Communicate effectively one-to-one and one-to-a-group
• Work effectively with a diverse group of people to implement project improvements
