Job summary

Westlake Chemical invites rising engineers to join our PEM plant internship program in the United States. You will engage in assigned projects under mentor supervision, observe department activities, and assist with daily tasks while actively participating in safety and environmental programs.

You will maintain an intern journal and deliver a presentation to the management team, gaining hands-on experience in process chemistry and plant operations.

Qualifications

• Must have completed second year of college.
• Majoring in Chemical Engineering.
• Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects with the close supervision of mentor/supervisor.
• Observe activities of the assigned department/unit.
• Assist mentor/supervisor in day-to-day tasks.
• Actively participate in Complex safety/environmental programs.
• Maintain intern work/activity journal.
• Presentation to management team.

Second year of college

Chemical Engineering major

GPA 3.0 or higher
