Job summary

Milliken & Company, a global manufacturing leader, invites applications for a Summer Intern - Manufacturing at the Enterprise Plant in Marietta, South Carolina. You will report to a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Improvement Manager, and the role is hourly paid with a Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule from mid-May to early August.

You will work on a significant process improvement project in a manufacturing setting, applying continuous improvement techniques.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior at a university.
• Working towards a BS degree.
• Able to participate in the Summer Challenge Forum in June in Spartanburg, SC.
• Able to participate in our final presentation review on August in Spartanburg, SC.

Job Title: Summer Intern - Manufacturing

Job Summary:

The Milliken Summer Intern position gives rising university juniors or seniors an opportunity to work on a significant process improvement project in a manufacturing environment. This position is located at the Enterprise Plant in Marietta, South Carolina. You will report directly to a manager - either a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Improvement Manager. The position is hourly paid. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The summer intern program begins in mid-May and ends the first week of August.

Qualifications- Preferred:

• Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial engineering major
• Efficient in PowerPoint and excel spreadsheets
• GPA - 3.0 minimum
• Able to start work on or before May 20th
