Job summary

Gallaudet University seeks an Associate Youth Programs Coordinator to plan and coordinate year-round youth and summer programs, serving as the primary contact for campers, families, instructors, and staff.

The role manages camper data, housing and transportation logistics, staff recruitment and onboarding, training coordination, and budget tracking while collaborating with campus units to ensure smooth program delivery and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in student services, recruitment and outreach, or a related field.
• Ability to communicate in American Sign Language.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day planning and delivery of summer programs/camps.
• Manage camper registration and data through Slate and university systems.
• Coordinate housing and dorm logistics with Residence Life, including check-in/check-out, room assignments and signage.
• Coordinate transportation logistics for arrival/departure days and field trips.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of camp counselors and student workers.
• Develop and deliver training/orientation, including Title IX training scheduling.
• Track camp expenditures and maintain records for regular budget updates.
• Coordinate with campus units to resolve logistical issues and maintain safety and compliance.
• Maintain social media presence for summer programs and support content posting.
