Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Youth Development Coordinator to support Day Camp, After School, play center, and teen/family programs, ensuring safe, engaging experiences for youth.

Under the Youth Development Director, you will help manage programs, training, and communications with families, staff, and community partners.

This role requires an associate degree or equivalent, 21+, strong communication, and the ability to follow safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required for entry.
• High school diploma with 1+ year youth development experience acceptable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety standards in all program activities.
• Strong human relations and conflict management abilities.
• Proficient with computers and common software.

Responsibilities

• Support operating plans to promote program growth and safety.
• Collaborate with professional staff and school staff.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and records.
• Assist in marketing and registration activities.
• Monitor attendance and report to Director.
• Provide supervision of site and staff in absence of program lead.
• Communicate with parents and document interactions.
