Job summary

YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metro Area is seeking a Part Time Administrative Assistant for Camp Cosby in Alpine, AL. This summer role involves assisting with office work, filing, speaking with parents, and managing camper forms to support the Sr.

Program Director and Program Coordinator. You will handle camper registrations, forms, and parental communication using Google Docs and the camper database, and assist with daily reports and check-in/out procedures.

Qualifications

• Belief in YMCA mission and Christian character.
• Teamwork and enthusiasm for service to others.
• Experience with children in camping or youth work.
• Experience with computer work: Google Drive, online databases, reporting.
• Physically able to cover campgrounds and participate in all camp activities.
• Ability to positively work with staff from different backgrounds.
• Know all Camp Cosby and YMCA policies; ensure staff adherence.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Attend applicable staff meetings.
• Manage camper forms.
• Sort and distribute staff and camper mail.
• Complete daily reports.
• Maintain a clean and professional office environment.
• Manage check out day.
• Manage camper emails.
• Have tasks done on time and in an orderly fashion.
• Work with online camper database and print necessary reports.
• During check in/out: sign campers in, speak with families, confirm forms gathered and payments completed.
