Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Food Service Operations Director to lead busy on-site dining operations at our rustic summer camps across the US. You will oversee daily culinary and service activities, manage staff, budgeting, and allergen safety in a high-volume environment.

This live-in, seasonal role requires a 6-day/70-hour workweek, strict adherence to health standards, and the ability to thrive under pressure while delivering quality meal experiences for campers and staff.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Must have strong leadership, budgeting capability, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train FOH and kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen safety protocols and top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place orders, control budgets, track daily reporting.
• Liaise between kitchen ops, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
