Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking a Food Service Operations Director to lead all daily culinary and service operations at our rural summer camps. This hands-on, on-site role oversees staff, budgeting, inventory, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You will live on-site for the contract term and manage a 6-day, 70-hour week, ensuring scratch cooking, menu specs, and strict health standards are met while delivering safe, high-quality meals to campers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required (Allergens certification before start; company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train Front of House (FOH) and kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen protocols and Health Department sanitation standards compliance.
• Manage inventory, place orders, control budgets, and track daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
