Job summary

PKF O’Connor Davies invites highly motivated students to join its Summer Audit Internship Program in Stamford, CT. Interns will be assigned to industry groups to gain hands-on experience on diverse client engagements and will participate in a market research project presented to Firm leadership.

The eight-week, mid-June to early-August program includes mentorship, training, and networking opportunities, helping interns build essential audit and accounting skills while experiencing PKF O’Connor

Qualifications

Must have at least 75% of a bachelor’s degree in accounting completed from an accredited university.
Must demonstrate progress towards CPA exam eligibility
Potential candidates should have good communication and computer skills and be team players who are motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.
Interns must be customer-focused and able to multitask.
Must be willing to travel locally to clients 80%+ of the time and have access to a car/public transportation.

Responsibilities

Develop relationships with clients and employees.
Become proficient in assisting clients with routine accounting functions.
Draft financial statements under prescribed format.
Prepare portions of compilation, review and audit engagements.
Develop a working knowledge of all microcomputer applications, which are routinely used.
Become knowledgeable about accounting pronouncements and demonstrate an understanding in functions relating to basic income tax.
