Job summary

PKF O'Connor Davies offers a Summer Audit Internship that places students in an industry group to work as a team on client engagements, providing real-world audit experience and allowing them to conduct a market research project presented to Firm leadership.

Interns receive mentorship, participate in community service and Firm events, and are immersed in the PKFOD culture from day one. The program runs eight weeks from mid-June to early August, with compensation of $30.00–$32.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 75% of a bachelor's degree in accounting completed from an accredited university.
• Must demonstrate progress towards CPA exam eligibility.
• Strong communication and computer skills; team player who can multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with clients and employees.
• Assist clients with routine accounting functions.
• Adhere to firm policies and procedures as a professional team member.
• Draft financial statements under prescribed format.
• Prepare portions of compilation, review and audit engagements.
• Develop working knowledge of common software applications.
• Understand accounting pronouncements and basic income tax concepts.
