Job summary

PKF O’Connor Davies’s Summer Audit Internship Program invites students to support a variety of client engagements within our audit practice. Interns work in one industry group as a team member, gaining real-world exposure to actual audits and related assurance services.

The eight-week program runs from mid-June to early August, with hands-on training, an intern adviser, and a market research project presented to Firm leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 75% of a bachelor’s degree in accounting completed.
• Must demonstrate progress towards CPA exam eligibility.
• Good communication and computer skills; team players.
• Interns must be customer-focused and able to multitask.
• Willing to travel locally to clients 80%+ with access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with clients and employees.
• Assist in routine accounting functions for clients.
• Draft financial statements under prescribed format.
• Prepare portions of compilation, review and audit engagements.
• Develop a working knowledge of all microcomputer applications used by the firm.
• Become knowledgeable about accounting pronouncements and basic income tax concepts.
• Participate in a market research project and firm-sponsored events.
