The Davey Tree Expert Company is offering a Summer 2027 Arborist Trainee Internship in the Denver area. This on-site, full-time program targets college students seeking hands-on experience in tree care, plant health care, sales, and client services with a clear path for skill development.

Pay is $22.00 per hour and starts on a flexible Summer 2027 date. Interns will join a tree crew and gradually learn pruning, removal, and safety procedures while using equipment like chainsaws, chippers, and

Qualifications

• Interest in field experience in Tree Care, Plant Health Care, Sales and Client Services.
• Willing to complete the Davey Tree orientation and safety training.
• Preference for forestry, horticulture, landscaping or working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Learn to climb trees and work with a crew while learning new skills.
• Perform tree pruning and removal tasks safely and skillfully for clients.
• Identify trees and apply pruning guidelines for proper maintenance.
• Assist in installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Assist in removing hazardous trees and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Gain hands-on experience with the full range of arborist duties.
