HDR invites you to join our Water Business Group as a Water Engineering Intern in Tampa. You’ll work with engineers and project teams on planning, design, and analysis for water and wastewater projects, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project teams with planning, design, and analysis for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support development of sustainable water treatment, distribution, collection, and reuse systems.
• Participate in field visits, site inspections, and project meetings.
• Analyze data, prepare calculations, and assist in developing technical reports and design documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Gain exposure to industry-leading technologies and engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Passion for water, sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community impact.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
