Job summary

HDR is offering a Water Engineering Internship in Florida for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate Engineering degree. You will assist with planning, design, and analysis of water and wastewater projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on sustainable infrastructure solutions.

You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to industry-leading technologies while supporting real projects that protect public health and the environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers and project teams with planning, design, and analysis for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Support the development of sustainable solutions for water treatment, distribution, collection, and reuse systems.
  • Participate in field visits, site inspections, and project meetings.
  • Analyze data, prepare calculations, and assist in developing technical reports and design documents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Gain exposure to industry-leading technologies and engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Passion for water, sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community impact.
