Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Water Engineering Intern to participate in planning, design, and analysis of water and wastewater projects in Pensacola, FL. You will support sustainable solutions and gain hands-on experience on real-world infrastructure challenges.

You will work with engineers and project teams, attend field visits and meetings, and develop technical reports while benefiting from mentorship and the employee-owned work culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project teams with planning, design, and analysis for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support the development of sustainable solutions for water treatment, distribution, collection, and reuse systems.
• Participate in field visits, site inspections, and project meetings.
• Analyze data, prepare calculations, and assist in developing technical reports and design documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Gain exposure to industry-leading technologies and engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Passion for water, sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community impact.
