Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to assist engineers and project teams with planning, design, and analysis for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Tampa, FL. This internship offers real-world impact and exposure to industry-leading practices within our Water Business Group.

You will participate in field visits, data analysis, and preparation of technical reports, while gaining mentorship, professional development, and hands-on experience that helps launch your engineering

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project teams with planning, design, and analysis for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support the development of sustainable solutions for water treatment, distribution, collection, and reuse systems.
• Participate in field visits, site inspections, and project meetings.
• Analyze data, prepare calculations, and assist in developing technical reports and design documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Gain exposure to industry-leading technologies and engineering practices.
