Job summary

Parsons invites applications for a Summer 2027 Roadway Engineering Internship in Boston. You will gain hands-on experience alongside a world-class team, mentored by leaders in infrastructure design, and exposed to major regional projects.

You will develop technical skills, learn industry best practices, and contribute to road/highway design efforts while collaborating with engineers on real-world tasks and schedules.

Qualifications

• Prior transportation or structural coursework.
• Enrolled in Civil/Structural engineering degree.
• Interest to work on multiple road projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• MS Office proficiency; CAD knowledge (Microstation preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate road/highway design methods for new projects.
• Ensure designs meet federal/state/local requirements and industry practices.
• Provide specifications, estimates, quantity calculations, and reports.
• Review supplier submittals and perform bid analyses.
• Prepare construction documents and data sheets.
• Contribute to team on medium to large projects.
