Job summary

Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Roadway Engineering Intern to join our team in Seattle, WA. This internship offers hands-on experience in preparing construction documents, performing geometric highway design, and supporting project delivery with CAD/CAE tools.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, drafters, and designers, gaining exposure to cost estimating, field surveys, and plan development while developing strong communication and organizational skills in a dynamic

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

• Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys as required.
• Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to develop and implement project designs.
• Provide guidance to CAD drafters, designers, and other engineers on the project team.
• Perform additional responsibilities to support project delivery.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Roadway Engineering Intern to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with the geometric design of highways and roadways, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, superelevation diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations, and grading plans.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys as required.
• Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to develop and implement project designs.
• Provide technical guidance and input to CAD drafters, designers, and other engineers working on the project team.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project delivery.
