Job summary

Parsons invites applications for its Summer 2027 Bridge Engineering Internship in Boston. You will expand engineering skills under direct mentorship within a world-class Infrastructure design team.

Qualifications

• Prior transportation or structural engineering coursework.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree program in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Interest and ability to work on multiple transportation/bridge projects at once.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High knowledge level of MS Office tools, CAD proficiency (Microstation preferred), and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of industry standards and applicable engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Determining creative and innovative methods and solutions for complex road or highway engineering problems and select the most efficient and economical manner to achieve objectives.
• Assuring that the designs are in accordance with approved Federal, State and local agency requirements as well as following accepted industry practices and procedures.
• Providing specifications, estimations, quantity calculations, technical reports, and detailed engineering analyses.
• Reviewing supplier drawing submittals and performing technical bid analyses.
• Preparing and issuing specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a design engineer for intermediate to large scale projects.

Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14
