Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Highway Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Boston, MA. This internship offers hands-on project experience within our Highway Engineering Department and exposure to the latest technology in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering with a transportation focus, have strong communication skills, and are willing to work as part of a team on design calculations, drawings, and studies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Civil Engineering with transportation emphasis.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with AASHTO, MassDOT, MBTA, and MUTCD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and evaluating engineering solutions.
• Preparing design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and drawings.
• Assisting with various studies and documenting results.
• Adherence to assigned project schedules and budgets.
• Writing internal communications.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
