Ursa Major Technologies invites applicants for its Summer 2027 Combustion Devices Engineering Internship in Colorado. You will join a small, fast-moving team to support propulsion design, development, manufacturing, testing, and production, gaining hands‑on experience and ownership over decisions that impact real propulsion challenges.

The role targets students with mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering backgrounds, and requires at least junior status by May 2027, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• Must be an academic Junior and above by May 2027 (experience with Fluids, Mechanics of Materials, and other advanced classes)
• Excellent with first principle analysis with mechanical and/or fluid‑based scenarios
• Hands‑on build and/or test experience (design > build > test lifecycle of a project)
• Demonstrated teamwork and ability to communicate effectively in a group setting
• Drive to continuously improve technical and team skills
• Experience with CAD software is preferred

Responsibilities

• Support propulsion design, development, manufacturing, test, and production on the Combustion Devices Team.
• Contribute hands-on build and test activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with a small, fast-moving team to solve challenging propulsion problems.
