Job summary

Ursa Major is offering a Summer 2027 Combustion Devices Engineering Internship in Colorado. As a full-time, non-exempt intern on a small, fast-moving team, you will support propulsion design, development, manufacturing, test, and production with hands-on opportunities and ownership.

The role targets students in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering who are juniors by May 2027, and who excel in first-principles analysis, build/test cycles, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• Must be an academic Junior and above by May 2027.
• Excellent with first principle analysis with mechanical and/or fluid-based scenarios.
• Hands‑on build and/or test experience (design > build > test lifecycle of a project).
• Demonstrated teamwork and ability to communicate effectively in a group setting.
• Drive to continuously improve technical and team skills.
• Experience with CAD software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support propulsion design, development, manufacturing, test and production.
• Assist with CAD modeling and analysis tasks.
• Contribute to problem solving in a fast-moving team.
