Ally Financial offers an 11-week paid internship designed to move students from educated to expert. Interns will work across Consumer Banking, Operations and analytics, gaining exposure to leadership and cross-functional projects within a leading digital bank.

Participants will engage in mentoring, networking, and a capstone presentation, with opportunities to return to Ally in a full-time role or another internship, depending on graduation timing.

Work Schedule

Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Details

Internship Program Timing: May 21 - July 31, 2027 (tentative) 40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working days Project-based work Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.

Consumer Banking

Consumer Banking is all about the customer. As a summer intern within the Customer Care & Operations Transformation organization at Ally, you will play a key role in one of the bank’s core values: building trust with our customers. Intern Key Experiences: This role will partner across operations, analytics, and support functions to capture insights, supervise key metrics, and contribute to projects that improve service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Support the Customer Care Transformation Office by helping coordinate strategic initiatives, monitor project progress, and drive accountability for execution across multiple workstreams. Exposure to operations, digital strategy, and customer experience design in a leading digital bank with opportunities to develop problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder leadership skills.

The Skills You Bring

Required qualifications. Rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate program. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. A passion for the financial services and technology industry is strongly preferred.

Preferred qualifications. Communication & Storytelling– Intern will develop professional skills in stakeholder communication, business case development, and presentation to leadership. Multi-tasking & Prioritization – Intern will learn how to identify, assess, and propose critical initiatives aimed at improving digital adoption and reducing friction in the customer journey. Critical thinking – Intern will learn more about the end-to-end experience for Ally’s customers and how Servicing plays a part in the overall journey.

Base Pay Range

$25.00 - $33.00 An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications.
