Job summary

GOTAFE in Burlington, MA, offers an undergraduate internship focused on rapid learning cycles and new product development. You will work 40 hours per week, from 8am to 5pm, learn to design solutions that meet consumer needs, and drive a design initiative with results presented to leadership.

You will apply project management and design of experiments, collaborating across a global supply chain including electromechanical, plastics, and electronics, in a cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time undergrad in Electrical Engineering, CS, CE, ME, or related field.
• 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm) availability.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in listening, written and verbal forms.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Learn about Rapid Learning Cycles, New Product Development (NPD), and designing solutions to satisfy consumer needs.
• Lead a new design or improvement initiative tailored to your experience and interests, then present results to leadership.
• Utilize project management, guided experimentation (design of experiments), and knowledge management tools to plan your project, develop and capture learnings.
• Gain exposure to a global supply chain including electromechanical components, plastics, electronics, and multi-region contract manufacturing.
• Engage and partner on innovative projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Undergraduate currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills including listening, written, and verbal abilities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Work authorization in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation & Benefits

• $31 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
• $2,500 sign-on bonus paid within first 30 days of employment.
