Job summary

Momentive is offering a Summer 2027 Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Engineer Intern role in the United States. You will gain hands-on experience supporting capital and reliability projects within a large-scale chemical manufacturing facility.

You’ll participate in the full project lifecycle from scoping to execution and learn about electrical/instrumentation systems, process safety, and plant performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Strong interest in electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, or project engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, development, and execution of electrical and instrumentation projects across the facility.
• Enter and manage projects in SAP Project Portfolio Management (PPM) with budgets and milestones.
• Develop engineering drawings and technical documentation using CAD tools.
• Coordinate procurement activities and track equipment orders to support project execution.
• Assist field construction and project execution through site visits and reviews.
