Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, invites applications for a Summer 2027 Environmental Services Intern at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. The paid internship provides hands-on experience in hospital cleanliness, front-line team training, vendor relations, and patient experience initiatives.

You will work with leaders in Environmental Services, help ensure safety, participate in scheduling and staff orientation, and develop skills for a future Business Operations

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college/university junior or senior.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
• Proficiency with Windows-based Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Execute operational standards in a hospital EVS setting.
• Participate in safety programs and maintain a safe work environment.
• Support scheduling and training of frontline team members.
• Assist with vendor relations and patient experience initiatives.
• Help ensure facility quality and respond to requests with urgency.
