Job summary

Harris Companies, inc is offering a Construction Project Manager Intern position for Summer 2027 in Minnesota. This internship provides on-the-job experience, turning classroom lessons into real-life skills in the construction process.

You will be exposed to all project phases—from pre-job activities through closeout—and gain experience in estimating, contracts, permits, safety, purchasing, submittals, tracking, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry and project management.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Demonstrated proficiency of math and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication while working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Pre-Job activities: estimating, contracts, permits, and insurance certificates.
• During construction: safety, purchasing, submittals, tracking materials and equipment.
• Field personnel tracking, productivity tracking, and change order submittals/tracking.
• Assist with project closeout: O&M manuals, as-record drawings, warranties.
