Job summary

Harris Companies, inc is offering a Summer 2027 Construction Project Manager Intern role, providing hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle from pre-job through closeout. As an intern you will assist with estimating, setup, contracts, permits, and insurance, while gaining experience in safety, purchasing, submittals, tracking, RFIs, and change orders on real projects.

You will work with a team to read construction documents, analyze data, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student working toward a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry and project management.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-job activities: estimating, job setup, contracts, permits and insurance certificates.
• Assist during construction: safety, purchasing, submittals, tracking materials and equipment, productivity tracking, change orders and RFIs.
• Contribute to job closeout: OM manuals, as-recording drawings and warranties.
