This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, professional sports teams, and more.
Proof of the Pudding, the premier food service provider for all Premium and Suites Hospitality locations at Auburn University’s Jordan‑Hare Stadium, is looking for Suite Captains to oversee and help facilitate game‑day services by providing leadership within game‑day suites during football, basketball, and other events. The ideal candidate will be available for all Auburn University home football games and have upscale food and beverage or catering experience.
This is seasonal/part‑time work as business needs are dictated by athletic events.
Responsibilities
- Lead in your food service area while being the point of contact between back‑of‑house operations and client/guest/front‑of‑house.
- Ensure the setting and maintenance of buffet stations and beverage services according to diagram across multiple suites/areas.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all BEO items are completed prior to service times.
- Delegate tasks to team members based on their positions and talents.
- Manage the team scheduled to run each event, including tracking hours worked and break times.
- Set buffet stations, including décor, linens, and china.
- Run food to suites and concessions as needed.
- Communicate with the client and check in throughout the event.
- Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
- Keep work area clean and coordinate actions with the event team and all front‑and‑back‑of‑house members to ensure flawless customer service.
- Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
- Adhere to food safety best practices and policies.
- Participate in event physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, handling food and alcohol, loading serving carts and trays, stocking supplies, and garbage removal.
- Report to the Operations Manager and perform any tasks assigned to execute a flawless event.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in front‑of‑house operations, event coordination, lead server, or equivalent.
- Proven customer service skills and experience communicating with clients at events.
- Live within or near Auburn, Alabama preferred.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of event operations and working out of the football stadium or similar venues, often moving throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.
Uniform Requirements
Adherence to company uniform requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook and orientation guidelines.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
- Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
- Lifting approximately 30 lbs. on occasion.
