Job summary

Proof of the Pudding is seeking Event Servers to provide Front of House support at UGA athletic events. Ideal candidates will be available for all UGA home football games and have food service experience. Responsibilities include setting up for events, serving guests, and maintaining dining experience.

This part-time hourly position offers a flexible work schedule and opportunities for advancement, along with a free meal when working.

Proof of the Pudding is an award‑winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.

We are looking for additional Event Servers to help facilitate gamedays and to provide Front of House support at different UGA athletic events. The ideal candidate will be available for all UGA home football games and has experience in food service. This is seasonal/part‑time work as business needs are dictated by athletic events.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the setting of suites, clubs, and buffets completely.
  • Must be able to set up for events, carry equipment, serve guests, and clean up at the conclusion of the event.
  • Quickly respond to guests’ needs.
  • Maintain proper dining experience and fulfilling customer needs.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
  • Knowledge of event menu items and their contents.
  • Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor.
  • Run food to suites and concessions as needed.
  • Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles preferred.
  • Live within 25 miles of UGA campus preferred.
Specialized Qualifications
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
  • The ability to work alone and as a team.
  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be event operations and working out of the Football Stadium or similar venues. This position will often move throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting up-to 30+ pounds.
