Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Industrial Process Optimization engineer for our Scottsbluff, NE facility. You will drive safety leadership on the floor, support sugar-processing operations, and lead root-cause investigations to reduce downtime and improve throughput and quality.

You will work with operators and supervision, apply Lean Six Sigma concepts, analyze production data, and implement preventive actions. Travel is limited, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Industrial manufacturing or process-engineering experience; 3–5 years preferred, strong early-career candidates considered.
• Experience improving safety, productivity, throughput, efficiency, or product quality in manufacturing.
• Strong background in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective-action implementation.
• Ability to analyze mechanical downtime, process limitations, quality variances, and production data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a visible safety leader and reinforce safe practices.
• Support technical issues across sugar-processing operation and molasses de-sugarization facility.
• Lead root cause investigations for throughput constraints and downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective actions to resolve recurring issues.
• Plan and direct shift-processing personnel to optimize performance.
• Train employees in process controls and statistical process control.
• Analyze production data, trends, and performance reports.
• Use KPIs and CI methods to improve safety, quality, throughput, and efficiency.
