Job summary

Amalgamated Sugar Company in Twin Falls, Idaho, is seeking a Process Engineer to assist Plant Management in optimizing processes for highest recovery at lowest cost, and to provide technical support and leadership in safety, quality and environmental stewardship.

The role develops production plans, monitors operations, and collaborates with project engineers on new projects, PFDs, P&IDs, and control narratives, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality parameters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or update station One-Pont-Lessons (OPLs) and work instructions.
• Develop, conduct, and/or update factory Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs).
• Provide process optimization oversight and support for KPI’s to maximize throughput and extraction and to minimize operating expenses.
• Provide technical process training support to factory personnel.
