Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a SUE Field Technician II to join our Emerging Markets & Services team.

You will work primarily in the field, locating, documenting, and verifying underground utilities to support planning, design, and construction of community infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, utility owners, contractors, and other SUE professionals to deliver high-quality data while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Surveying Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Geomatics, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in utility locating, SUE, surveying, construction inspection, utility construction, or related field services.
• Experience operating geophysical utility locating equipment preferred.
• Experience with vacuum excavation equipment or utility exposure techniques preferred.
• Basic understanding of ASCE 38 standards and utility quality levels.
• Knowledge of underground utility systems including water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, electric, gas, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Ability to read maps, utility records, construction plans, and field documentation.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel frequently to project sites and work extended periods away from home as project needs dictate.

Aufgaben

• Designate and document existing underground utilities utilizing geophysical locating equipment and industry standards, including ASCE 38-22 Quality Levels.
• Assist with utility surveying, mapping, and utility data collection activities to support accurate project deliverables.
• Operate vacuum excavation equipment to safely expose and verify underground utility locations.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles, vacuum trucks, and specialized field equipment including utility locating devices, compressors, air lances, concrete saws, and hand tools.
• Assist in implementing approved traffic control plans and follow all applicable safety requirements during field operations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, field notes, and records while protecting the confidentiality of company and client information.
• Travel frequently to project sites and other project-related locations as necessary to support project delivery.
