Job summary

Halff in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a SUE Field Technician I to locate and mark underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment, read plans, and document locate results. You will operate the company vehicle, perform manhole entry, and travel for projects as needed.

Candidates should have 1+ years locating experience (or be a new grad), a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Drug/background screen is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years locating experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather and travel as needed.
• Must pass drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate electromagnetic locating equipment to locate and mark utilities.
• Read and interpret utility plans to identify type/size of utilities.
• Provide accurate documentation/sketches of locates.
• Operate company vehicle safely and maintain appearance.
• Perform manhole entry using assigned safety devices.
