Job summary

T2 Utility Engineers in Round Rock, TX is hiring a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Field Technician I. This full-time role offers on-the-job training in utility locating, surveying, and designating, with growth opportunities within a leader in the utility locating industry.

Entry-level position; no prior experience required. Travel up to 50% may be needed. Competitive benefits are provided as part of our comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only).
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation (U.S. only).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate heavy tools/equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or plane, up to 2 weeks per stay.

Responsibilities

• Learn the operation of SUE utility locating and designating equipment.
• Use tools to conduct utility investigations (jackhammer, pogo-tamper, saw, vacuum, etc.).
• Drive commercial vehicles (CDL not required).
• Complete daily logs and simple math.
• Perform daily basic vehicle maintenance.
• Assist with safety setup and traffic control under supervision.
• Assist with survey and data collection tasks.
• Perform daily routine maintenance of equipment.
